I love my fellow peers and my management team. They’re wonderful people to work with. The hours, the time we come in, the time we get off. I still have time to do things in the afternoon and in today’s economy, you want to have a job you know is going to be there.
Everybody treats everybody around here like their friend. Our management has cook outs for us. It’s just all around a good company to work for. I am a licensed contractor and conduct business on a regular basis with both Home Depot and Lowes. Their customer service pertaining to appliances is horrible! Not only are they not reliable with their delivery and availability, they do nothing for the customer after they screw up.
Flexible Schedule - Shop and Deliver
I needed something that was going to go around my schedule out of the building. I was able to come in and work in the morning, which is usually about six o’clock to maybe twelve o’clock. And then I went to school and then came back and closed the store, like from five to ten pm. And there is always an available store, if I was to move state to state in a transfer.

I love the bonding, co-workers, and most of all I like the advancement that the company has. Lots of trucks coming inbound to unload and then we are loading trucks to go to stores, so there is a lot of forklift traffic.

You’re there, first of all, as the face of The Home Depot, because I help them walk out with a smile. Oh what makes me good at my job is that I’m a people person. I just generally enjoy being around folks.

It’s challenging, but that’s a good thing if that makes sense, because there’s a lot going on. You’re not just doing one thing, you’re doing several things at one time. Right now, I’m a cashier part time and I love it, because I love working with the customers.

Here they treat you like family. They want you to do your job fast. They want you to do your job effectively, but they also want you to have fun when you do your job.
Some of my managers have become my bigger brothers and my bigger sisters. Merchandising is a very physical job. By the end of the day, I’ve usually walked about seven to eight miles.

Appliances were ordered for a job with a confirmed delivery date. I received a call this morning stating that it would take another two months to get the appliances in the customers kitchen! They would not even compensate the customer for the inconvenience nor would they take care of my time in any fashion for my inconvenience. We were willing to make a concession on the type of appliances purchased and they couldnt even give us A hard date on those appliances. I cant just wish on a genie lamp to see if Im going to get appliances that are paid for and contracted to be delivered ! They are making it very difficult to conduct normal business!
